@HOME RESIDENCY EXHIBITION
Colchester, Connecticut — studioELL’s @HOME Residency is excited to present Edges, Corners, Trees, a new solo exhibition by 2024’s artist-in-residence Melissa Dunn. The exhibition opened on 24 January and will be featured through 29 June 2025 on studioELL.org. An artist talk will take place on Tuesday, 04 March 2025, from 7–8pm ET (6–7pm CT) via Zoom. Register here. The exhibit is accompanied by an essay by curator and studioELL director, john ros.
Melissa Dunn’s Edges, Corners, Trees is a presentation of work created in and around her six-month @HOME Residency. The exhibition showcases a deeply personal exploration of quietness, studio rhythms, and the intersections of Dunn’s home and artistic practice. By presenting her work in the nooks and crannies of her home — extensions of her studio space — Dunn invites viewers into her introspective process. The exhibition highlights her dedication to abstraction as a means of storytelling where shapes and colors carry the weight of both fleeting thoughts and lifelong narratives.
