Hi Kate

I like the idea of a local art walk – I may need to see what is near to me (I imagine there may be more than I thought).

Yes! I really had no idea how many artists (and art enthusiasts) were living near me until covid.

Hi Chris

I write songs sometimes, so was intrigued to see the book by Jeff Tweedy.

Watching/Reading – Random sci-fi series and food history documentaries/ My Grandmother’s Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies
Studio Sounds – Podcasts and/or hip hop, Motown

Artistic Soulmate – Heavily inspired by Carrie Mae Weems, Lorna Simpson, Duane Michals, Hiroshi Sugimoto, but most engaged to Gregory Crewdson, Jeremiah Ariaz, Todd Hido, Daniel Coburn….

Meal Time Goodness – Smoked Pork Shoulder and Honey Jalapeno Cornbread

Pandemic Activity – Desperately waiting for galleries to reopen, occasional tears and fits of nervous laughter? Talking to other local artists, engaging heavily with students at the schools I taught at. Lots of woodworking as alternative practices.

Show and Tell – currently planning a newly revisited body of work and exhibition for 2022, but the prep is already taking up lots of time

Secret Identities – http://www.armonameans.com / IG: abdrese, fatmangofast, blackboardswood

Photo Fun – I guess thee are my face

Workspace – Is currently a hot mess as a shelf came tumbling down in the woodshop this week. I refuse to give life to the chaos by immortalizing in photos.

Hi Armon

My Grandmother’s Hands is also on my reading list.

Going to galleries was one of my main weekend activities, so I can relate.

I’m sorry to hear about your shelf – I hope it is fixable.
