You will need to login to use the comment section below. Please use the ONE-SHEET provided to you to access your studioELL username and password. Watching/Reading – Random sci-fi series and food history documentaries/ My Grandmother’s Hands: Racialized Trauma and the Pathway to Mending Our Hearts and Bodies
Studio Sounds – Podcasts and/or hip hop, Motown

Artistic Soulmate – Heavily inspired by Carrie Mae Weems, Lorna Simpson, Duane Michals, Hiroshi Sugimoto, but most engaged to Gregory Crewdson, Jeremiah Ariaz, Todd Hido, Daniel Coburn….

Meal Time Goodness – Smoked Pork Shoulder and Honey Jalapeno Cornbread

Pandemic Activity – Desperately waiting for galleries to reopen, occasional tears and fits of nervous laughter? Talking to other local artists, engaging heavily with students at the schools I taught at. Lots of woodworking as alternative practices.

Show and Tell – currently planning a newly revisited body of work and exhibition for 2022, but the prep is already taking up lots of time

Going to galleries was one of my main weekend activities, so I can relate.

I’ve been meaning to watch Trial of the Chicago 7 and Judas and the Black Messiah for months now. I need to get on them! Thanks for joining us and no worries about getting things in later, it’s been a crazy weekend for me as well.
